Time machine part II: A warm summer day, in the far, far north of the Netherlands

Short report of a little trip from Belgium to the Dutch province Groningen, where my friend Leonie was getting married to her dairy farmer Ruben. My Belgian friends picked me up along the way so I could join them for the second half of the trip.

Emptying the camper.

De Afsluitdijk, 32 km long. On the left you see our (salt) Waddensea, part of the North Sea, to right a fresh water lake; IJsselmeer.

Veer :)

A Frisian village, hiding behind a dike.

Recovering seal.

Lazy recovering seals.
Arrived in Rottum, Groningen. Here you see some of Leonie's and Rubens cows.
When they were getting married in the church with all their family, we enjoyed ourselves at their place...

In Africa, we promised to be eachothers pink bride's mades on our weddings. Leonie decided to get her cute, five-year old niece for the job, but you don't believe that we would let ourselves be put aside that easily, do you..?

They seem a litte frightened...

See you in May, girls!
