The Bossen and Bergen of Slovakia.

Surprisingly, we had to wait less than an hour.. :)

You see that castle, uphill? We ended up camping just behind it. At night, we hided (is that proper English?) most of our stuff in the forest, to be able to watch the semi-finals in town; Stara L'ubovna.

Just seconds later, the lady of the house showed up. She didn't look too happy, and it was just impossible to explain why we were hugging her orange house in the early morning...

A train took us to Spisska Nova Ves, which we left on foot, towards Slovensky Raj.

Lots of logging going on.

Just looking at these pictures makes me thirsty.

It was fantastic. We hiked upstream, without our bags, in a kind of gorge, for hours and hours. It was exciting, a little scary sometimes, and always very, very, beautiful.

Back home after a long day (at a real campsite!)

Spisska Nova Ves.

Taken from the train, on the way back to Poprad.

professional photography...simply stunning. The proper english word for 'hided' at least here in Canada is hid or hide!!! Lotte, your photography makes me appreciate every mile you put on those feet of yours...so wish I was able to join in.
Thanks once again for sharing!!!
